About this website
Wild at Heart Foundation is a dog rescue and adoption charity built on a simple belief, every dog deserves a chance at a safe, loving life. The charity focuses on dogs who are forgotten, abandoned or struggling to survive in challenging environments, then connects them with people ready to open their homes and hearts. Each adoption story begins long before a dog reaches its new family, with careful rescue work, veterinary care and patient rehabilitation.
On the ground, Wild at Heart Foundation supports projects that tackle the problem at its roots. Partner teams work to reduce the number of free roaming dogs in a compassionate way, through sterilisation programmes, community education and welfare support. Instead of treating dogs as a problem to be removed, the charity champions kindness, responsible ownership and long term change. That approach means fewer unwanted litters, healthier street populations and more dogs ready to find homes.
Adoption sits at the heart of the charity’s work. Potential adopters are guided through a clear process that puts the needs of each dog first. Volunteers and coordinators learn the personality and history of every animal, then match them with families whose lifestyle and expectations fit. The goal is not just to place a dog quickly, but to create a lasting bond that transforms life on both sides of the lead. After adoption, support continues with advice on settling in, training and behaviour, so new families never feel alone.
Wild at Heart Foundation is also a platform for storytelling and advocacy. Through its digital presence and social media, the charity shares real journeys from street to sofa, highlights the reality of life for stray dogs in different countries and celebrates the impact of supporters. These stories raise awareness and inspire donations, foster offers and shares, which in turn fund more rescues and welfare projects.
For people who cannot adopt but still want to help, there are many ways to get involved. Regular giving, one off donations, fundraising events and brand partnerships all help keep rescue, sterilisation and education projects running. Even simple actions, such as sharing a post about a dog in need, can help that animal reach someone who is ready to adopt.
Whether you are looking to adopt a rescue dog, support humane population control or simply learn more about the global stray dog crisis, Wild at Heart Foundation offers a meaningful way to make a difference, one dog and one story at a time.
