About this website
Arete Software, also known as Arete Soft Labs, approaches the custom website versus template decision in a way that feels grounded in real business pressure. Setting up a website is not hard anymore, what is hard is choosing the right path when you have a budget, a timeline, and real goals like leads, bookings, or sales. That is where their content and services meet. They frame the choice as less about what looks good today, more about what will still work when your business grows, your marketing gets serious, and your customers expect a faster, cleaner experience.
On the template side, the appeal of Arete Software is obvious. A web design template or a builder style setup can get you online quickly, especially if you need a simple presence and you are still validating your offer. Arete’s own “Pro Websites” positioning speaks to that reality, offering an affordable route and a fast delivery promise for busy owners who want something mobile responsive and ready to launch. When speed matters most, templates can be a smart starting point, as long as you understand the tradeoffs that come with shared layouts, limited flexibility, and the risk of outgrowing your setup.
Arete Software Custom web design, on the other hand, is treated as the long game. Arete describes websites as marketing tools, not just “nicely designed pages,” and that changes how you think about the build. A custom approach gives you more control over user experience, site structure, performance, and conversion paths. It also supports clearer brand differentiation, which becomes more important as competition increases. Their service pages reinforce this direction, highlighting custom WordPress design, custom theme work, plugin customization, and ongoing maintenance, plus broader custom development for web applications when a business needs more than a standard site.
What makes Arete’s angle useful is that they do not present the two options as enemies. They present them as stages. Many businesses start with a template driven site, then switch to a custom build once they have proof of demand, real content, and a clearer positioning. Their WordPress and custom development services are positioned to support that transition, which is often where companies feel stuck. They want something unique and faster, but they do not want a messy rebuild or a site that becomes hard to maintain. The promise is a website that reflects your brand, is easier to update, and is built with SEO and conversions in mind from the beginning.
