About this website
Abode Crafted Wood Furnishings is a Saskatoon furniture destination for people who care about how a home feels and how long it lasts. After more than two decades serving the community, the store has built its reputation on the kind of pieces you keep for years, solid, well made furnishings that look right in real life, not just in a staged photo. The experience is welcoming and practical, with a team that knows home decor well enough to guide you without pushing you into a trend that will feel dated next season.
Part of what makes Abode Crafted Wood Furnishings stand out is how it blends craftsmanship with a modern eye. The showroom carries fine crafted wood furnishings, and it also embraces contemporary furniture and decor, so you can find traditional classics, ultra modern styles, and plenty in between. It works for a stately, polished home, and it works just as well for a space that leans rustic, warm, and relaxed. That range is especially helpful when you are furnishing more than one room and want everything to feel connected, even if each space has its own personality.
If you like furniture that feels personal, Abode leans into customization in a way that is easy to understand. Many pieces let you choose the wood species, choose the stain color from natural tones through deeper modern finishes, and choose hardware that matches the rest of your home. There are also extra options available on many items, details like upgraded drawer boxes, decorative glass, lighting, and other finishing touches that help a piece fit your exact needs. It is the difference between buying something that is “close enough” and bringing home something that feels like it was made for your space.
Abode Crafted Wood Furnishings story also reflects how the store has grown with Saskatoon. The business operated as Oaksmith Interiors until 2018, then evolved as the location, the selection, and the style range expanded beyond what the old name represented. Today, the Abode name signals what you see in the showroom, a broader collection, a refreshed approach, and the same focus on quality and service that built trust in the first place. If you are shopping for Canadian-made furniture, searching for solid wood pieces with flexible options, or simply trying to make your home feel more finished and more you, Abode is the kind of place worth visiting in person and revisiting whenever you want to upgrade your everyday.
