    Maker Spot

    Your curiosity stays yours.

    Extension privacy notice · November 3, 2026 · Version 0.2.0

Maker Spot replaces the new-tab page with Design, Development and Products from Sites Gallery. Browsing is anonymous. Version 0.2.0 adds optional Google sign-in to connect your Sites Gallery profile and save content to your collections; the original 0.1.0 release is an anonymous reader.

    Optional account, no tracking

Maker Spot does not read browsing history, page contents, authentication cookies or your clipboard, and does not use analytics, advertising trackers or interaction telemetry. No account is needed to browse public feeds. Version 0.2.0 lets you choose to connect an existing Sites Gallery account for profile and collection features. It has no content scripts or background browsing monitoring.

    Public content and search

Opening a tab, loading more content and viewing the Products sidebar request public JSON and images from sites.gallery over HTTPS with cookies and referrers omitted. Searching sends the words you enter and your selected content type to Sites Gallery to return matching public content. Search is not sent to an AI provider and is not saved as account history. Ordinary hosting/security logs may contain connection IP addresses and requested resource URLs, including search terms.

We use these requests to deliver and secure the content service. We do not sell user data, personalize advertising or build individual browsing profiles. Ordinary infrastructure records are governed by the Sites Gallery privacy policy.

    Connecting your Sites Gallery account

Login is optional and initiated only by your click. Sign In opens a Maker Spot screen inside the extension. Continue with Google opens the Google account flow through the Sites Gallery authentication service, followed by a short Maker Spot confirmation. It uses the same Sites Gallery identity and collections, with no manual code entry. Your password, Google credentials and Sites Gallery session cookies are never transferred to the extension. Website authentication and confirmation follow the Sites Gallery privacy policy.

After approval, Maker Spot reads your name, email, username, profile photo, collections and saved-item membership. It can create private collections and save or remove Products, Design and Development items in collections you choose. Choosing an existing public collection makes the saved content visible under that collection’s normal publication settings. The extension cannot edit your profile, submit content, access billing or use administration.

Delegated credentials are held in extension-only browser storage and used by a packaged background broker exclusively for these account requests. Access credentials last 15 minutes and renewal credentials rotate; the connection expires within 30 days and depends on the original website session remaining valid. Pending connection proofs are kept only for the browser session. Sites Gallery stores hashes of these credentials and connection/security records. No password or website cookie is stored by the extension.

    Profile photos

Local profile images are served by Sites Gallery. A configured Google profile photo may be retrieved by the Sites Gallery server, restricted to Google profile-image hosts, resized and returned as an image to the extension. The extension does not contact Google for a profile picture or obtain additional Google account permissions.

    What stays on your device

Feed pages, appearance and scroll positions remain in tab memory. Older device-only product saves remain on that device and are not uploaded automatically. You may remove an older device copy or explicitly save that item to an account collection. Copy writes only your chosen link and never reads the clipboard. The development-only loopback preview keeps its connection in that preview tab’s session storage; it does not share the installed extension’s credentials.

    Links and sharing

Links open their original publishers or Sites Gallery only when you choose them; those destinations have their own privacy practices. Maker Spot does not fetch publisher pages in the background. Share opens your device’s native share sheet when available, or offers a link and email draft. No message is sent automatically.

    Your choices and account data

Use Logout in the account menu to revoke the connection and remove its local credentials. You can also review and revoke connections at https://sites.gallery/extension/connect. Disconnecting or uninstalling does not delete items from your Sites Gallery collections; manage those on the website or through the collection picker. To delete your account or request removal of account/technical records, use Sites Gallery account settings or contact [email protected].

Disabling or uninstalling the extension stops its requests. Closing a tab clears its in-memory feed state; older device-only saves have a separate removal action. Never send us passwords, connection credentials or payment details.
